Default Unidenified engine

can anyone tell me who built this engine? Ive had this picture for several years, showed it to several people. so far no one has any clue.i'm wondering if some of you stakers might know.thanks, scott

I don't have a clue but it sure has a neat valve arrangement on it. Wonder if one actually exists?

Does the last word on the crankcase cover look like "WIS" as in Wisconsin ? Go over the original with a magnifying glass , even a few letter may lead you to the identity.

If it's not a Milwaukee Rice Machinery or an early Beaver or Leroi from Milwaukee, it's darn close! I have an early Milwaukee Rice that has a couple similar characteristics. Wish it was next to mine to compare the two! Jason

brian, it says wisconsin.from what i see it could be manitawoc,mennomone,milwaukee?????
