A Briggs Model H with a brass carb?
Pictures below are a Model H with the carb that they usually come with (& they ain't brass).

The next two pictures are a Model FH. This particular one does not have a brass carb, but some of these (earlier versions) did have one.

Please post a picture or two of your engine if you can.

Mike,

A picture might be worth more than a couple of hundred words. Or not, depending on many things.

thanks guys for the info & pics I am still trying to figure the problem with my posting of pictures. The H pics look just right other than mine does not have the hand start. It has a rope pull pulley. Brass tag in good shape & ledgable. Decal is 75% or so. Has small V belt pulley on output shaft. Ill keep trying to post pics. Thanks again, Mike
