Default Cost of Coleman fuel down your way?

Coleman fuel in this general area is around $9.25 out the door price and that's Walmart's price. Running 50/50 Coleman fuel and 87 octane I can't afford to run my engine as much as I'd like to but the sun shone on me as today, while driving back home from a nearby community, I noticed a small general store with a "going out of business" sign. Upon entering the store I noticed that 90% of the shelves were empty but continued to look around towards the back of the store when I came upon ten 1 gallon cans of Coleman fuel. I asked the only person there what they'd take for them and the response was if I took all I could have them for $4.00 each!! The small little bumps of metal cans all the way home was music to my ears. My day was made and now my little engine won't get thirsty for a long time to come.

WalMart zapped Coleman up to around $8.50 when gas was peaked and they haven't budged since. I snagged a few cans back at $6.50 and it runs absolutely great in my engines.

When I find Coleman fuel at garage sales and flea markets it comes home with me. It doesn't go bad. Sometimes its "FREE" . I use it in my models and the smaller engines . One time I got a full, unopened a gallon of "Kroil" for $2.00 .

John
My FG and FHs love the stuff. (Infact, all my other Briggs and Lausons do too) I mix a tad of marvel mystery oil in for good measure.

could you run a briggs b with it. What would the mix ratio for a gallon of lantern oil to marval mystery oil. Anyone use 3 in 1 blue bottle or zoom spout oiler instead of marval mystery oil. Anything i should know about before i decide to try it any negitive effects. Any positive effects.

Thanks Craig. I'll have to visit Wal-Mart and see if they carry it still. Does it dissolve gum in the tank also?

The only thing I've found to dissolve varnish in tanks or fuel lines is acetone. Use it outside because the vapors are dangerous to your health.

Actually, fuel line varnish left by stale gasoline is the reason that I switched my engines to Coleman fuel.

No- doesn't disolve any of the crud in your tank already, but it doesn't leave any residue either. I've switched my entire collection to coleman and have been running that way for about two years now. I've pretty much forgotten about draining carburetors and tanks- no need to anymore.

I do mix a little marvel mystery oil to the gallon, only a ounce or two; seems to me I read someplace that it helps lubricate, even with regular gas.
