Default Seeking Full Name For N. & M. Engine.

I have a small, oval, metal pin back button that says "Another N. & M. Engine" Can anybody tell me what N & M stands for? There is a possibility that it's a firetruck manufacturer but I suspect that it's a stationary gas engine. Thank you in advance for your help.

Here are two photos of the piece if that helps. Even if you don't have a definative answer, fell free to throw something out. A hint or clue is better than nothing as I can research from there.
