Our club (Western Michigan Old Engine Club) was given this engine. We would like to get it running and have more info on it.
The brass plate on says: UNITED ENGINE COMPANY Lansing, Michigan Type A 1 3/4hp #81699 We are unsure of the ignition. There is no magneto but there are wires running from the igniter back to the area of the valve gears. Thanks fro your help. Bob |

All you need is a battery and a low tension coil one wire to ground the other to the ignitor.Hook up a fuel tank. I assume the push rod and trip arm for the ignitor is there I dont see it in the picts |

Todd,
Thanks for the reply. We do have the push rods, etc. Some of the guys were in the process of disassembling the engine for cleaning purposes when I took the pictures. Bob |
