Default What kind of shaft does a Generac/Negano 6.5HP have?

I've looking for a motor to replace a blown-up Briggs 6.5 OHV on a Powermate generator.

I ran across a good deal on a Generac 3500 with a dead generator head, and a good Generac 6.5 engine. I believe this is the Negano motor with the filter and pressure lube, a very nice motor.

Does anyone know if this would fit my Powermate head? The only stuff I've been able to find on Generac shafts shows an oddball setup with a straight section and a tapered section (much like the crank on my Briggs), but then another straight, threaded section. I assume this is to fit some special, dedicated, rotor?

I know they made a similar machine only with a Briggs motor, but it seems quite possible it could have used a special crank on the Briggs, or a different rotor.

I think, BUT DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE, that the tappers on the crankshaft of engines for sensrator use are all the same. The only sure way to know is to buy the other unit, disassemble both and see if you can swap the parts around.
