That's the neatest little chain saw I've ever seen.

Well I was told the 20MCS one man is the first Homelite, although they used a Homelite engine on the Lombard 2 man, which I couldn't believe (as a Linn fanatic) I had just bought and brought home a Lombard! My father did allow me to keep it here anyways, (but says he'll keep calling it a Homelite). Somehow the thing reminds me of Reed Prentice, try the antique chainsaw sites.

I cant beleive there is nothing on that saw that doesnt lead to any clue's to what make that saw is. Small I.D. tags. Information tags. Hiddn names on a part. ect. Even features can tell sometimes what a saw is. It looks 30 ish what ever it is. In that link i fallow i see the saw has a built in tach on the side so you just have to find out what saws were built with tachs. The L also may point to and lead to a name of Lerp or lombard or??? even though i dont know if lombard made 2 man saws. It could even be a Russian or German saw. Look how words are written on that saw aswell. See if nothing rings a bell, so to speak.

I have no idea what make that saw is, but it screams "EUROPEAN" at me. Just look at the license plate on the car in the background. The way the engine is designed and the twist throttle, even the gas tank make it look European to me. There's no way that thing is a Homelite. I think it's probably German or Swedish. I used to have a Husqvarna dirt bike that had grips just like that saw.

I saw that license plate and never made the connection. I guess it's the paint scheme andcastings along with top bar that made me think of my Reed Prentice/Craftsman. That guard on the back would make you think someone didn't like wearing 2 cycle exhaust?
