Default What's in your Chainsaw Collection?

This is my vintage chainsaw collection. I tried to collect saws with some history and limited edition pieces. Mosts are restored and running ...i do that as a hobby. I have around 250 saws now on my site but many more are not listed since the restauration is in progress.
Enjoy the viewing.

right now I have only 1 chainsaw. It is a Mall model 7-H 2 man saw, with little time on it. It still has its 3/4" pitch chain on it, and it can cut thru a 10" oak log in less than 10 seconds. Not bad for a saw built in 1950!

At one time I had two Mall 2-man saws, one Wright saw recipricating saw, 2 David bradly saws, a few Mac's, and a Craftsman (I still use). I had a bunch I did not know what brand they were, and some I don't remember their brand names. The only one I have left is the Craftsman.

I love your website, my immediate family would probably blame you, I am currently hoeing out a 24' storage trailer we used to keep hay for the horses (which village idiots have now banned), and lumber stored before I was born, so I'm putting in shelves for engine and chainsaw storage, so I can get some other projects into the garage before someone else beats me to it. And hopefully before it's lawn and garden time, and more exterior paint brush time. Although once the shelves are done, it removes the argument against collecting more saws......

My favorite saw is a big titan two man. I cannot find a photo of that one.

Here are a couple of my long bar Mercurys, brought home from the land of big trees found out near Mt hood. I love that region of the country.

The second photo is an impractical Gravely Model L tractor with a chainsaw attachment.

Nice saws! Always wanted to pick up a 2-man Disston or an early Lamb just because those were the early ones in use around here in Upstate NY, no big trees like out West, at least not as much in the chainsaw era. (They used to split big trees further south with dynamite of black powder into manageable size).

Was that just blasting wood with powder or using a splitting wedge? I always wanted one of those, they used to demonstrate one every year at a show at "The Lanterns" in Cedarville, NY until insurance issues shut them down.
