Default Value of 5/5" Scale Working Steam Traction Engine

I have the opportunity to purchase a 5/8" scale model working steam traction engine. It looks exactly like the D. R. Mercer 5/8" scale traction engine on Mike Stockard's gallery, except it is completely stainless, no brass. It was made by the great uncle of a friend of mine about 70 years ago. Is there anywhere I can get an idea of what it is worth so I can pay my friend a fair price? Does anyone have any idea? Thank you, Aimee
