Code 9912161B application : Generac mod 09719-3 [5kw].No faults with unit Problem is operator's lack of ability to pull start hence conversion does anyone know if this eng was used in applications such as riding lawn mowers etc ? B&S manual shows it as a option . my thought were to look for a dead mower to get flywheel, starter, & cover & hardware . installing charging system & batt would be unneccesary as it is simply an emergency gen that could be spun over with jumper cables from a vehicle thru a automotive solenoid starter [Ford] . Info as to what will fit etc., & knowledgable comments greatly appreciated regards Butch

I have done what you propose on Tec. powered generators. I do not see why it will not work. The only thing is I would install the 12 charging system from the dead mower engine if you find one. You do not know if sometime in the future you may want/need to install a starting battery on the engine,
