What motor is this?
Im in Red Deer Alberta.I have some old casting boxes that were found in a cleaned out foundry in Vancouver. If I remember right the foundry was closed in late 60s or 70s.These boxes were in the rafters and the only thing left in the building. The foundry was located near the docks. This is the story I got from the guy who I got these boxes from.Ive been trying to find out what type of motor these cast. The only writing I can find on the side of one box says Burnett B 47.This has been written on with what looks like that yellow metal marking pen. They have been well used, lots of hammer marks on the sides.Ive been looking on the net but can't seem to figure it out.Im not positive this is a gas motor its just that the head appears to have a spot for a spark plug.It could even be an aircompressor.I believe it to be a 2 stroke but really have no idea.Ive had these for probably 18 yrs.I originally had thought it to match a 2 stroke motorcycle motor I had from the 50s but after purchasing them and getting them home I realized they weren't close.Anybody have any Ideas?
Thanx James
