Default Chainsaw History For sale on Amazon

I think I will check out this title:

http://www.amazon.com/Chainsaws-Hist...8152475&sr=1-1

Has anyone read the book? I am big on pictures. But, well written, complete and accurate would be nice. I think stihl experimented with a diesel saw, then there must be quite a lot of ideas tired, steam?

Edit: I decided to try a google and found out about the diesel saw. Not stihl. Interesting, and they ran ads for the above book with a link to Amazon. So, appears this is the best collector reference.

Just finished reading that book. There were some amazing chainsaws over the years, some more deadly than others. Wait until you see the one that wrapped around the tree and cut in toward the middle.

It is a great book for any saw nut to have. I have mine for a couple of years and enjoy it a lot.
Another old book worth finding is Barnacle Parp's Chain Saw Guide by Walter Hall. It has a funny history of the chain saw in the front, but I doubt the accuracy, but still worth having.
Try searching through ABE BOOKS.com for better prices than Amazon.
