Default Temptations I'm avoiding

Right now a fair bit of model 6 Mall stuff on ebay, a nice electric Mall with cords and plug (and here my father said his ran by clamping onto a currant bush?) and if you search Craigs List in the Syracuse, NY area there is a 2 man McCulloch for $100 in Fabius. NY and somewhere up that way a Homelite that looks similar to my 20MCS they want $300 for. Meanwhile I have to finish putting boards on a shelf and get the rest of my saws moved into their new home, may not have room to collect more

That McCullock sounds worth picking up or taking a look. It could be used for tradding if you already have one. Price is fair enough assuming this is a real 2 man. Most of these old saws are beat to heck, so anytime you can get one it is generally worth the effort just to swap out for some of the better parts. Longer bar, better chain, better handle. I am not a big fan of eaby or the shipping costs. Is fabian close to you?

Fabius is up by Syracuse, think it lacks a chain, don't know if the $5 Mall chain on ebay would work, I have a couple of extra Lombard 2 man chains (I figured I would try swopping at some point), yes I'd like a McCulloch 2 man really, but a Disston 2 man or an old Lamb are my priorities, right now I have to worry about the garden and getting my next vehicle, which may yet involve a trip down to NC. I see prices on old saws all over the place, I hate to go over $100. I see on ebay the saws are starting at $20 with shipping around $60 to $75 that doesn't leave much profit really. Meanwhile I was plotting staging a Mall electric chainsaw picture when I bounced my camera off the trailer floor this morning and think I killed it. Something else I have to purchase now. I've been borrowing my sister van the last few months but inspection runs out on that next month, the shock tower is going bad on one side and we jacked it up this morning due to noise and found a broken coil spring on the other. It gets better all the while. Yeah I'd rather be collecting old chainsaws.
