Can Anyone ID this flywheel engine?


Can anyone ID this engine? Has a two part base, grey paint on flywheels, no tag, small cast...

Default Can Anyone ID this flywheel engine?

Can anyone ID this engine? Has a two part base, grey paint on flywheels, no tag, small cast crankguard, slight taper to water hopper, looks to be about 1.5hp? Looks Similiar to Lauson???? Thanks.

Looks just like my Sattley 2hp 500rpm serial no 4892.

Definitely a Nelson Bros. but, to me, it looks more like a Little Jumbo type engine (Model U?) with the way the mixer come out the side, the position of the gov. weights and the fact that it has grease cups. Also the fact that it has the bracket that bolts onto the side of the head for the plug. My 1 1/2 Sattley doesn't have grease cups, instead, it has the little oil wells, and the gov weights, look more like little half moons, are located in front of the cam gear just behind the flywheel. And the plug is located on the front of the head just above the rocker arm. My 2 cents for what it's worth.
