Onan 3.0AJ-1R Parts and information

Hi,

I have an Onan 3.0AJ-1R/16017S Serial number J820637165, that was given to me. I was told by the previous owner that it runs but it was hard to get it to turn over. I found that the Springs on the DC brushed were melted and the brushes stuck in their channels. I was able to get them out but I am having trouble finding parts or even part numbers for that matter! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I have the Onan 3.0AJ-1R/16017S I also need the Service manual/Parts manual for it, I am having issues getting it to start, sometimes it does most time just clicks. changed silonoid no help but some parts manuals and service manuals would help a lot.. email to bobabel06@yahoo.com

Service & parts manuals should be in your box. Start with the simple things. "Good" fully charged battery, the bigger the better. Good cables with clean connections, no jumper cables.
The manuals will get you started, the "Smart Guys" here at the Stack will do the rest if you just ask.
Post the Ser. # for better answers.

I am also the owner of an Onan 3.0AJ-1R, and without any manual. I found this link
and see it is a very fresh article thread, and I was hoping it was still active.

I would greatly appreciate any service and parts manuals that you could send to me.
It runs fine, but on Sunday, when I was running the air conditioning and charging up
my laptop computer, the 110 AC voltage just quit. I don't know if the 2-12volt storage
batteries are getting charged, but that isn't the point.
I need to start at troubleshooting basic, and am a little rusty (I was a an American car mechanic in the early 1970's), so any manuals would hopefully give me clues as to the breakers and fuses that may be associated with this ONAN.
It is in my Winnebago motorhome, which I live in, so it's important to have the generator,
as my solar panels won't run the Air Con. Heh.
Anyway, I hope you see my post.

I just purchased a motorhome with an Onan 3.0 AJ-R onboard generator. Would also like to get hold of the service manual for this unit. After much tinkering, was able to get the generator started but am not getting AC out of it. Am thinking the problem is with the brushes but am a bit stumped as to how to proceed. I have an owner's manual and it's helped but a service manual might just be the ticket. My email is gdecker@shybearfarm.net if someone out there would be so kind as to send one my way. I recently got an Onan 3.0 AJ-1R/16017S Serial G8105882035. It runs and makes power but the intake manifold has one bolt ear broken where it bolts to the block. Could someone pm/email me parts/owner manual for this old boy. Also, any idea what year it might be..
