Any ideas as to what this ignitor belongs to? The bolt holes are about 1/2" and they are about 3" apart. Those hex nuts don't look like they belong. The casting is cracked too.

I didn't see anything on Ted B.'s site that matched. It may be a little close to one of the IHCs listed on that site.

Ray,

Thanks for the reply. Here are some more pictures.

I don't think it is for an understrike M. The understrike M ignitor is listed with 2.5" centers. This is definetly 3" Photo

Does anyone else have any ideas? I don't think it is one on Mr. Brookover's list.

I can give a few guesses

could be Bulldog related. It has a "clapper" and would be struck on the return stroke. However, bulldog ignitors are armed, it may have been cut off or broke off at one point in time. Many engine companies came and gone so its hard to tell, maybe something very rare, who knows.
As for that little crack, easy fix dont sweat

It just hit me, This I belive is a RV ignitor. I rebuilt one for a fellow in Ca, it is not a common engine, according to the owner, 3 are left in the world. When he shipped it too me it was a signed delivery with confrmation and request of pictures out the butt of it being rebuilt. Cost almost 60.00 in shipping! He was a happy fellow when he got it back

IC,

Wow, I sure would like to have the rest of that R&V if that is what it belongs to. Maybe you could dig up some of those pictures you had to send the guy?

I will find out if I have any, I dont have a scanner so If I find copies I have possibly in a photo album I will send them you to via mail. After looking at the ignitor more, I am pretty sure its it.
