Number one use: 12A combines. There are also other versions of the L power units. The LUC is still quite common. We had 2 of them around here when I was a boy. Still have one.

I looked around and it seems that the LUC had about 16hp at the crank.
good luck, I want one some day.

I have one . And have had several that I have sold. They are rated 14 hp and 16 hp max. These engines run good just be careful cranking it as they have a habit of kicking. I have a manual if you need more specs.

Had an LUC and two JD L tractors (still have a 1943 model).
They don't kick if the mag is correctly set.......
