Default Galloway serial number.

Just pick up an 2 1/2 or 3 HP Galloway with no tag. Serial number is 89462. Anybody have a good list. I found several on the web but none that goes up very high. Sure would like to know when this engine was made. Thanks Frank

Hi Frank. That is an incredibly high serial number. With no tag where did you locate this number? Can you take a picture of it for me? Could the number be 36942? I am an avid Galloway collector and have a pretty good source for the serial numbers. Galloways are fantastic engines to have.

+1 on that high serial number. Does it have a mag on it? if so is it a Webster or Wico?

Hi Randy: I got the ser number off the end of the crankshaft. The number was covered with a lot of rust. Will check again and get back with you, my eyes are not like they used to be. It has a Webster mag on it. Thanks for help. Frank

Hi Denny: It has a Webster on it. Will check the ser number agin. From the pictures on the net it looks like Bulldog model with the rounded rectangle water tank top. The number was stamped on the end of crank. Is there another location! Thanks Frank

Hi Randy found another ser number on the other end of the crankshaft and it was clear. 39463. By the list that I have it makes it a 1917 or 1918 model I think, thanks for the help Frank
