Photo Strunk Lives!

Well, after a hibernation of approximately 4 years, I fired up the old Strunk yesterday. I just added some newer old gas to the mystery mixture in the tank, set the choke and after around 10 pulls, she fired. A few more times and she ran on her own. Heavy, loud as hell and had almost every neighbor looking out their windows to see what monster had been unleashed upon the earth. Just me and my Strunk. Included a couple shots of the star attraction.

Nice saw! I haven't had mine out in about 10 years. It is painted red and I believe it is a "big timber" model. I don't know about the rest of the Strunk line up but mine mixes the oil and the gas by itself. It's the only saw I have like that. While it is loud, I've got a Clinton and a Wright that are worse. I learned many years ago NOT to crank these things up even for a moment inside the shop!
