All the Eatons I have had are flat top. Most Imperial's as well. I go with Magestic.

Thanks for your replies!

I have a 2 1/2 hp "Waterloo Boy," and my unknown is much larger than it.

I also have a "T. Eaton" 1 1/2 hp, and it has the raised round hopper fill hole as per a typical "Waterloo Boy."

Both of these engines are tagged and marked so I'm sure about them.

Please keep submitting your ideas.

Thanks,
Vic

on the smaller eatons 2hp range they had the round raised top like you explained.bigger boys had the flat top.you can look at the eatons catalogs on line www.archive.org the engines are near the back of the flip book. and in the catalogs between1910-1920.

Vic, It looks much like a Van duzen (Roys and Company) made by Waterloo Boy.

I don't think it was a Majestic, didn't they generally have a tapered water hopper and the really short "elbow" carb?

is there any difference between the Eatons sold out of Winnipeg, and the ones from Toronto? The engines they sold under the imperial name in the west had the raised lip around the hopper hole, but i was sure i had a small Eaton yrs ago that looked like the one in the pic. but that was awhile ago

I have a 1.5hp Eaton's Waterloo Boy. I can't find a photo on my HD, but it's the same as this one (except for the mixer valve - sorry to whoever's photo that is)
