Hi,
I thought there was a foundry in Wangaratta as well. I can't remember its name, maybe someone else can tell us if it is still open. Might be a bit closer to you than the others. The foundry game is not doing well in Australia, two of the big foundries in Ballarat have closed their doors. Regards, Wayne www.bluefuel-whitesmoke.com |

There is a place in Adelaide as far as I know still in operation. It is in the Brompton area I think. I had a mate get some cast iron bungs done there for the Austral Fuel tanks. Also believe there is one at Callington SA, but not sure if it is still in operation. cheers John

There are still a couple operating in Sydney. The price fluctuates a bit with the price of metal but we have had a lot of stuff cast in the last few years.

I used to work at a foundry in Wagga years ago but I know now its shut. There was another larger foundry out towards Gumly Gumley. Maybe thats still operating.

I use the Wagga foundry and they do good work. Can take up to 3-4 weeks. Simple things like rocker arms cost about $30 - $40. Cheers John

Hi All. Another one in Castlemain is Billman (I think thats how its spelt ,receipt went through the wash and's a bit hard to read). I have seen quite a bit of their work on large traction engines. Pretty good stuff!! And a reasonable price too. Cheers .Pete.
