Dennis Peters of Pennsylvania makes very nice exact replicas for the 1 1/2 hp M. You won't regret buying one, I think he's asking $275. We have a couple of his carts, and they are top notch.

Hey RandyI just bought 3 carts for my 1 1/2 m and my 3hp m (uses same cart as 1 1/2) and for my brothers 1 1/2 M, I got mine from Cattail foundry they are the rough castings but very little finish work. If you have simple metal working skills these are exact repo's of original carts they are sold as "kits" for 105.00 plus shipping from Cattail to Tennessee was 25.00 shipping the kit has 2 12"x 2" wheels 2 9" x 2" wheels 2 back wheel bolsters and 1 front 5th wheel, you will need to make handles, front mounting plate for 5th wheel to sit on 2 U bolts to bolt rear bolsters on, axles made from 1" black iron pipe, drill bolsters for U bolts, drill and tap hole for set screw on 5th wheel, and you will need to use your own skids, sounds like alot of work but not to hard I enjoy the building myself. This is a amish foundry you can write them or leave a phone number at a voice mail and Mr. King will call you back. Cattail Foundry 167 West Cattail Road Gordenville Pa.17529 phone: 717 661 9172 If you enjoy building stuff yourself these are nice I was very pleased I have detailed drawings of these carts I can email to you if needed. I, also , must cast a vote for Dennis Peters. With his kits, you assemble and go. All parts and hardware are included, even the handle and the cotter keys to secure the wheels on the axle.
Kevin I did the stenciling. |

Talked to Cattail Foundry today, my type of folks, good honist, and very freindly. In fact, I make all my own carts castings and all but I bought 10 kits from him today! I dont think I will be disapointed, afterall, when 2 foundry men talk and we are on the same level, I trust them and so should you! give em a call!
