Carter model N rebuild kit

Hello -

Does anyone know if rebuild kits for a Carter Model "N" carburetor are still available? The carb comes off of a little Reo engine I just restored, and I'd like to rebuild the carb as well. No local auto parts stores have them.

They were available last fall, I bought several from Foley-Belsaw. I think the N was used on some Kohler engines. You could check with a Kohler dealer in your area.

The Carter N was used on REO (2 versions), Clinton, Kohler, Cunningham (B&S lookalike), Lauson, and other small engines as well. It was a popular carb. The second version, used on the REO engines (NON adjustable main jet) was a bit of a pain. The fuel must be clean as a whistle - the slightest piece of dirt played havoc with this version.

i would like to talk to you about a rebuild kit for my carter model n carb
it is off a old Scott outboard motor late 60's
i need a rebuild kit and also need new or like new needles for it

any help would be great
