Jim, if you haven't already, you might try to get ahold of Lynn Miller at the Small Farmer's Journal. I remember a couple "horse powers" as well as a treadmill going through the auction there in the past few years. He'd most likely know who ended up with them.
Good luck!
John

Matt, We are going to change our whole farm over to nonengine power... some wind and water maybe but mainly horse powers, both treadmills and rotaries... we will be powering grain mill, meat grinder, washing machine, air compressor, elevators, sorghum press, oat roller, hammer mill, some shop tools and a buzz saw (these we have already). We are looking for a small sawmill. We are looking for a small threshing machine. We may power a stationary baler and combine with a rotary, not sure yet... could be ground drive instead. Thank you. Matt, So I did not really answer your question. We are looking for a one horse horsepower, a four horse horse power, and a four/five/or six team horsepower... Thank you, Jim Heinrich
(the horse treadmills we will use, we have covered, new from Athens Enterprises) We are still looking for a small treadmill for goats or large dogs.

Wow, sounds like a good plan, are you into the vintage/collector/restorer aspect of machinery or are you a strickly use it guy. The reason I ask is I may have a power you would like but I would hate to see someone restore it with a bunch of fab iron.

Matt, I restore things completely to original condition with original parts whenever possible.. fabricate iron or wood as a last resort, and then go to great lengths to match the look and feel of the original and keep records as to what is original and what is fabricated. Then I use it. Hope to hear more from you, Jim Heinrich

It has 4 poles sockets for 4 teams. The ring gear is 5 to 51/2 in diameter. The wooden stuff is pretty much gone(rotten).Give me a few days to take some photos,I'm going to take a few days of vacation to work some horses,in fact I might be having a informal work horse field day with a buddy to do some plowing.Im am still undecided on selling, its a project with a capital P that I have not toched in 10 years. You may not like what you see when I post some pics anyway. I'll get some pics of us plowing for some "show and tell"it might spark some good stories for the forum. Thanks for your patience.
