Has anyone shipped a 40 lb box or so to the UK? I'm trying UPS calculator and I'm getting $250 estimates, does that sound right? I know the flat rate box from the post office with a 20lb limit is $37 or something close to it.

I dont know about the UK, but a flat rate box to Hawaii from Pa. is 10.35, the same box to British Columbia in Canada (alot closer) is 57.50. you figure it out.

UPS is INSANE.......
.......forget them.If time isn't an issue I'm pretty sure there is "surface" shipping...........it's faster than it sounds.......

Have you tried splitting the load up?
We have many times got around a weight limit by breaking the goods into two smaller packages. If it's not divisible, then try surface as Craig suggested, although you'll probably need to contact shipping agents as USPS don't do surface any more IIRC. Peter |
