Default Onan Emerald Plus Generator won't start

I am having problems with my Onan Emerald Plus Generator in that it won't start. I ran it about 3 weeks ago and it died on me. I figured it ran out of gas and wasn't surprised. Since then I have not been able to get it to fire up after putting gas in the tank. It cranks over just fine, but won't fire. I can get it to fire by disconnecting my electric fuel pump and making the pump work off the battery terminal. Then reconnect the pump and it fires right up, but dies as it runs out of gas again after a few seconds. I checked the oil and it was a little low, so I topped it up, but still no go. I can't find a reset button for the low oil if that was the problem. I have a seperate fuel tank for my generator and a fair amount of gas in it. My unit is also designed with a another pump that can pull from my main coach tank to fill the generator tank. I wouldn't think that the generators fuel tank level sensor would be on the coach tank when it has it's own tank, but that will be my next investigation.

The generator is;
Onan Emerald Plus
Model # 4BGEFA26100H
Serial # E910393924

I would appreciate any help, as I have my motorhome for sale right now and this is causing some issues selling it.

You should have battery voltage at the pump wire while cranking. Sounds like part of your crank circuit is out.

Turns out that once I put enough fuel in the main driving tank it fired right up. Is there a way to bypass that sensor? The reason I ask is that the generator has its own fuel tank and I never would of thought that someone would of left that sensor on the main fuel tank and not relocate it at least to the generators own fuel tank. I run the motorhome on propane mostly and don't keep much fuel in the tank and never thought that would effect the generator with the way it has been setup.

I believe the generator uses the truck chasis fuel level guage, it reaches a certain resistance and the genny pump won't energize. I'm not 100% sure about this, I would call Campingworld 1-800#

The few motor homes I have been around had nothing this complicated for the generator fuel system. The fuel fitting for the generator was at about the 1/4 tank level on the motorhome fuel tank.This was so you would NOT strand the motorhome with an empty tank from running the generator.

Fuel sensor is a new one on me also. The genset fuel line should run to the tank and cut off at 1/4 tank.

You will have to physically look to see if it is still plumed to the main tank, even though you say you have two tanks. You would be surprised as to some things "professional" folks do.
