Question Heating element for a Wilesco?

Okay, I have 3 Wilescos, and the one stationary engine takes a lot of fuel, and it has a functional water pump on it, I was wondering would it be feasible to use a heating element on it?

How about making a small LP burner that runs from one of those camp fuel LP bottles?
When I was out of fuel I fired the little torch I have and turned down the flame as much as I could and stuck the head into the hole where the fuel pellets went in. It worked but didn't look very pretty.

The UK has a few conversions to gas bottle/burners. The are not cheap>>>http://www.forest-classics.co.uk/ceramic_burners.htm
