Default old chainsaw`

A friend has a 36" cut chainsaw. The motor is marked Mercury Kiekhaefer Corp Cederburg Wisc. The saw part appears to be Henry Disston and Son, inc. It is dated 1942. It seems to be in good condition as it is in an original carrying box. Does he have a rare and valuable item?
