The K&O show at the winfield fairgound is one of the nicest parks around, lots of old tall trees to camp under, fair roads, some blacktop for walking to feature exibits, indoor building for some of the high value exibits. This is not your stereotype flat no trees KANSAS show, the backdrop is by the Walnut river, with a large all weather covered allweather grandstand for the parade and other events. Electrical hookups and a few water faucets throughout the camp area. Want to get in some fishing? The old millrace dam is downstream less than a mile and backs up water by the fairground.
backhaul;
Anyone coming to Winfield KS from central Pennsylvania (about 75 mi WSW of Scranton) with room for an orphan engine? give me a jingle

I have a bunch of Photos that I took at the show. Should there be a Winfield gallery in the gallery forum?

For some reason I can't create a gallery for the Winfield Hot Air Show,or upload photos.

I'm a noob, so maybe when I am not a noob I can get it to work.

You can include four photos of the full size engines in your post right here on this forum. Only subscribers can access the gallery. And you are not, so.....

You see manage attachments when you are entering your text? Your quota is limited, so select your best 4 shots and FWIW my interest is in the real deal engine not models/toys/fans all of which I already own and enjoy, but don't need to travel to KS or log on here to see more of that. Give that a try. The site will resize the pics to a pleasing image.
