Default Auction or no Auction

My hats off to the good job auctioneers do at their sales, but in the last several years I've been getting alot better buys on buying privately. The last major item I bought at a sale was 2006 Anyone here have the same experiance.....

I like to buy stuff any way I can. I have bought stuff at some auctions this year for less than I would ever have the nerve to offer someone. Maybe you're just not willing to pay enough these days

It always depends on the crowd at the auction, I have seen some where the prices were HIGH and bidding HOT, but other times like I have herad the saying, "They were just giving stuff away" and everything in between. Yes there have been some record prices paid at auctions in past fews years, but I also bet that there have many bargains as well.

Like Joe said I also have bought items at auction for less then I would have offered some one, and also paid what the seller was asking as it was a good deal. then again I have walked away from things I really wanted as the seller was asking more then I thought it was worth (or what my pocket book could afford)

Just my 2 cents worth
