Default Info wanted:"Missing Link" vintage welder

Good Evening all. Does anyone have info on a "Missing Link" electric welder? The name plate shows "Hi Cycle Automatic Arc", and "Model #1". It is manufactured by the Mid States Equipment Co. of Chicago, Ill., and appears to be 1930s-40s vintage. Thanks Harry.
