Hello All
l recently bought 2 pumps but both are missing parts, details below: No. 1 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 5 Patented Apr 4 1889 Military Arrow head marking - missing valve gear and valve block No. 2 4 1/2 x 2 3/4 x 4 Patented Apr 4 1889, Sep 18 1900, Oct 29 1901, Sep 30 1902 SNo 159413 - missing all pistons and rods Any guesses as the age of each pump? l am thinking No. 1 is over 100 years old due to the patent dates Pump No.2 could be 1940s or '50s?? Thanks Walky |

Walky,
have you opend up the pump side to see if it isnt swiss cheese and to see if there is anything missing. You'll need a decent air compressor to kick it over too. drain cocks etc you can get from a person in QLD he it in the back of the tomm mag but they arnt that hard to make or any fittings as long as they do there job everythin it hunky dory well sort off ![]() ![]() Cheers, Will |

Hey Will
So far it all looks OK, nothing unexpected. No. 1 pump water cylinders have brass liners and steam cylinders are good - got 1 side freed up without too much drama. No. 2 pump steam cylinders are good and steam valves are in working condition, l have not had the pump head off yet. l should be able to work out the dimensions of the missing parts by scaling the dimensions from one pump to the other - some manufacturers drawings would still be great though Thinking about trying to cast some of the parts at home in aluminium like: - piston blanks, need 4 for No.2 - valve block, valve arms, valve pivot stand for No.1 The rest l could fabricate in steel ![]() Thanks Walky |

the only thing that will come close to mechanical drawings is cut away sections.
