Schramm used all kinds of engines, apparently including some of their "own", but the little I have shows the 60 with a Ford V8...
A posting on another site said a man named Frank McBride, who worked for Schramm for years, could be reached at Lena's Warehouse Parts, Ft Worth TX 817-370-2039. Good luck.

Try Olson's for the gaskets, I think they advertise here on the stak! Schramm is still in business, they may have the parts you need.

Roger,

Frank passed away about 3 years ago now. Sam Hardgrove should have most of the parts you need. Bud is right, they used a Ford flat head V-8 runs on 4 compresses on 4, I have on of these in a crawler. They also made the 60 you are talking about, I do not remember what engine they used for this, my book is in the shop. If you do not have a book on this I can make a copy for you. You can reach Sam at 817 xxx xxxx . Schramm stopped making compressors in the mid 80s, they do not offer parts for most compressors if any. I was at Schramm Inc. last summer to pick up a couple of compressors that they donated to the HCEA. Give Sam a call, he will help you out.

I have a Schramm with the Ford flathead V8. It is a "Fordair 60". I believe that they made some with 4 cylinders that were also rated at 60CFM.

Butch,

The Schramm compressor with the Flathead V8 is called a Fordair 60 because they use mostly Ford parts and they put out 60 cfm. So yes yours would be a Fordair 60.

Very nice unit Butch.... did you get it on Jim Arras' Schramm Collectors list? If not, I'm sure he'd appreciate your information!

As soon as I find pistons for my 60 Ill be having a little more fun. It's my favorite. So If any one Has one for parts let me know. Already talked to sam in texas,
