Talking Greetings from Eastern Arizona

Good day all. I'm Mike Beatty from Lakeside, Arizona. I'm 40, married 17 years and have a 15 1/2 year old son. I'm a disabled stay-at-home dad who loves trains, the Pittsburgh Steelers and life most days. I am a student of the Bible and am working towards becoming a Pastor someday. Anyhow, I inherited a Fairbanks Morse Z model 1 1/2 horse from my grandparents who won it in a raffle several years back. It is in running condition, was running at the show where they won it, and they've had it running once. We live in the beautiful White Mountain area of Eastern Arizona, and most people up here have never heard of, let alone seen, a hit and miss. We do have a local tractor club, I've thought of contacting them, but I love this list with all the feedback and pictures (I took some of mine, will post in an appropriate place). Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, is it commonplace to name your engine? Looking forward to some help as I need some to get this started. Nice to meet y'all, have a great day!!
Mike Beatty

Welcome to Staks.

Please feel free to post questions and pictures of your engine under the forum "Antique gas Engine Discussion".

You will definately get the information you need here on Staks!

By the way I have a sister that lives in the Gilbert AZ area and I was just curious how close that is to you?

I have a friend who is staying in Lakeside this summer. He is a member of Power from the Past out of Tucson. If you like, you can email me and I'll give you his phone number.
