Hi that link will only give you the crap from the old Amioo site not the Tomm forum after that. I think maybe Tomm should allow us to access that info as it belongs to the members. Thanks Rudy

G'day, I just went and had a quick look at the old amioo site. There is some great info there. I liked the post on Australian engine book as i have never been to this site before. (most of you blokes are probably sick of reading it). The list of Australian makes of engines is unbelievable, a credit to Eric for the info.
Maybe one day an Australian book will happen.

Hi,

Frankly I think it will be a long time before this ever happens.

The last time this was attempted collectors opened their doors, and told the people undertaking the task where they could find engines and information which was unknown to other collectors.

Honestly from my perspective I think most people in the hobby were fantastic and supported the effort.

Unfortunately for whatever reason it all turned ugly. The book was never written and the information was used by some involved to progress their own agendas and interests. For the 'honest' people involved in the project this created even more heartache.

The next time round people will be more wary, and unfortunately it will make the task much harder.

Having said all that - I hope someone decides to undertake this task.

Regards,
Wayne

P.S. At least on this forum I can actually write this !

I got an Email today saying that the forum is re opening on the 16th of September. I personally think that this is a great result for those who have tried to get the forum going. If we all deal with this in a positive manner I think that it will work if we the members want it to. Rudy
