Default Parts for Central Machinery Mini Lathe?

Good day to all,
I just found this site and was wondering if anyone might lead me to a source of parts for the model #33684 Mini Lathe?
I am in need of a replacement drive cog for the motor shaft. It is a plastic drive cog that has slipped and worn the belt cogs off. I am a 65 yr old new machinist that just loves tinkering. This is the first lathe I have owned. I can see that there is about 5 thou. back lash in the feeds so will have to learn to over come that or find a way to fix it. Any assistance is much appreciated.
John

Contact Harbor Freight, as that is their brand of machinery, they do sell parts for some of their stuff and some takes months to get parts.
or look at the mini lathes from grizzly or mirco mark and most of the industrial supply companies. sell the same models with different names and paint.

If you can't get it from little machine shop, figure out what part you need and get it from Grizzly. Even if you were a 30 yr old machinist, you still might not get replacement parts from Harbor Freight in your lifetime!!

I have gotten parts from Harbor Freight not a big problem. the manual and parts lists are usually on line. Assuming this is a current product, you need to go online and get the catalog number then go get the parts list and order the parts.

If this is the lathe:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=44859

Then this is the manual:

Plan B. Check McMaster Carr for a substitute (maybe quicker and easier)
Worse case replace both pulleys and the belt.I am sure they
have something suitable and not plastic.

Plan C. Make one.
