I Have a Miller Bluestar 180,would anyone know how to seperate the engine
(12.5 Kolher) from the armature. I can't tell if it is pressed on or if it is threaded. thanks Richard |

Most generator rotor are fitted to a tapered shaft. What I do is remove the center bolt, Tap the hole with to install a grease Zerk. Then use a grease gun to pressurize the cavity where the thru bolt was. The make a mini-hydraulic cylinder. Some time the rotor will pop right off. Sometime it will take a day or so of setting. One I worked on did not come off until I bumped the rotor with a hammer. When I did the rotor JUMPED off.
