I just purchased a 1916(?) 5HP Model L Ball Top Lister and it is missing a small inspection plate that bolts on just above the cranshaft on the mag side. I am looking for someone who may have an engine like this that can take a picture of the plate and provide me with dimensions so I can make one. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Paul, your Lister bears a stiking resemblance to the engine on my 2 cylinder 10 HP light plant which was built in 1915. Check out the picture on Sparks Arcs in the user profile section. I'd be happy to email a closeup of the cover on mine.
