Clark try Bill Lopoulos for the rewound coils. He's square and will help you as much as he can.
He's located in Mass. but he does make the Jacktown show. There're NOT cheap

I have a PDF down loaded from this site, I think, that show how to modify the armature to install a magneto coil from a import Moped. Not sure how to post the PDF and I hesitate to do so because I did not originate the PDF.

Rewind unless find a used or NOS one. Also try Marks Magneto, Mainely Magneto or Bob's Small Engine Repair.

I just looked at the PDF of the coil convertion for the ZZ engine. It was posted BY Craig DeShong. He IS A MEMBER of SMOKSTAK. Contact him about the coil conversion HE developed for the OLDER BRIGGS LETTER SERIES engines. His E-Mail address should be in his profile.
