Default Huber, Hart Parr, Case Rock Island auction results in NY

MacFaddens fall auction in Sharon Springs NY 9/26/09. Huber 20-36 with DK flathead, running original with bad manifold. $7100. Crossmotor 15-27 Case, restored $13000. Hart Parr 18-36 restored $9000. Rock Island FA 18-36 older restoration $3600. Oliver 80 row crop DIESEL restored $25000. Are rock islands just not that rare? They are a little odd but never fetch a decent price, I thought it was a better tractor than the Huber but at half the cost?

Did you happen to get any of the engine prices?

if I had the room I would have bought that tractor. You don't see that many and it was pretty nice. Prices seemed to be down a little from previous. Some nice tractors went fairly cheap. Is there any post of his auction results?

I didn't watch the engine auction. They missed out on a lot of bids because they started early. Advertised at 2PM and started at !PM. I did talk to a young fellow that bought a two cylinder opposed air cooled New Way for $3600 unrestored. Must have been quite rare.

Another example of rarity not equating with value.
I had a Model F Rock Island. It's a fine tractor but.......not much wow factor there to set it apart from other "ordinary" (for lack of a better word) looking tractors......even so......a very good buy at that price.
The 15-27 Case sounds pretty sociable too.
