Question Blade on a Farmall "A" for snow?

I'm looking to aquire an "A" and want to mount a front snow blade on it . Any Ideas , I do have a snow blade for a bush-hog D4-10 that I can possibly mount without too much trouble ,but I'm just looking for ideas . For lifting or possibly mounting on the back instead of the front . I may even have a small cylinder to pick it with or I might mount a 12V winch for a quick user situation .

If you DON'T mount the blade on the front you'll regret it forever.
Plowing in reverse gets old REAL fast.......

That is actually what I was thinking ,but being old fashioned "curmudgens" as most of us are ,everyone has an idea of how things should be done. Looked at the tractor and the owner said the tire looked a little low ,he tried to put air to it and got a calcium shower so I can get the tractor for $600 or add $180 with a new tire ? So I'm looking for a couple pull offs

The "A" doesn't come with hydraulics. If it doesn't have an aftermarket hydraulic system, you'll need to add one, or use the "Armstrong" method. Ed

There was an exhaust lift. I know nothing about them, except that few have survived, and no parts are available. Ed

The exhaust lift is a cumbersome thing.
You should be able to mount a small hydraulic pump at the front of the engine and drive it with a V belt. It takes very little to lift just a blade.
I did that on the other JD L I had at one time......it worked great!
You might want to consider looking for wheel weights and get rid of the fluid in the tires......but the damagae has probably already been done....

Believe it or not it comes with front and rear factory weights plus the rears are or were loaded My boss who I'm buying it from thought they looked a little low and put the air to the left rear and got an earache and calcium shower:I just wish I'd gotten it home first.

Nice ! It was alittle hard to see in the picture but I got the idea ,not sure how to incorporate it in the front . Because like Craig said I'd probably be hating it plowing backwards
