Tapered pin help


I need to know what size pin I have ? about 7/8 long skinny end is .150 fat end is .170 ...

Default Tapered pin help

I need to know what size pin I have ? about 7/8 long skinny end is .150 fat end is .170 I need to know what number reamer I need ? and were to buy or borrow one ? i only need to do one hole. thanks Scott

Check in Mc Master Carr cat. It will tell the dimentions and the # of the Tapered pin. Go to Mcmastercarr.com on the web. They have a on line cat.

Default Re: Tapered pin help

A #0 pin is .156" on the big end and .138" on the small end for a 7/8" long pin. It's likely a 3/4" long #1 pin (.172" big end), which gives you a .156" small end. See the following link. You can enter the pin length and it will tell you the standard diameters in that length.
