Default Original Hesselman Engine Sparkplugs

Well, it's happened again: my fickle interest's been piqued by Hesselman sparkplugs...
Hesselman engines are truck/ind'l oil fuel low comp special hi-power magneto and special hot sparkplug ignition engines...
Does anyone out there have a late 30's to late 40's Master sparkplug catalog, comprehensive enough to cover oddball engines and hopefully Allis and Case tractors?? Like:
Case LAH, LIH, LAIMH ??? (Wheel tractors);
Allis KO, LO, SO (crawlers) AO (wheel tractor);
Wauk engines 6EKH, HBKH ???
I also need a website with old (30's) Bosch plug info.
Any comments appreciated! Many thxx!! Bud

Hi Bud, I can't help with a catalog, but here is some pics of the DL-8C plug for my 130HL.
Thank you for Loren's address, he had the plug yet and shipped it to me for a very reasonable price. This might be the only NOS Hesselman plug in existance, anybody else got some?

Thanks again,
PT

Got a old Champion catalog was going to look at for you but then forgot again. Here some online conversion charts I found searching for the DL-8C that PFT posted. Wonder if Stitt made a plug for them ?

Considering Stitt's bread and butter is Industrial plugs, I guarantee you they made a plug for a Hesselman engine.

I have 2 Champion 45 plugs (7/8" 18 thread) which were originally listed for Allis Chalmers Hesselman engines.

I have also seen a couple Blue Crown Hesselman plugs for sale, but I can't remember their part number. H-179 I think.

DEMPSTER & ERIC: Many thxx for the comments and info.
The only online conversion charts I'd found were either poor or worthless on Hesselmans; just wasn't punching in the right words, or maybe I was Googling cross indexes and never Googled the plugs themselves.
Yes, Stitt made Hesselman plugs that crossed with both the Champ D-8 and DL-8C (extra long and unshielded; there was also a Champ EDL-8 "shielded") per an early 50's Champ chart, and Stitt is still in business, specializing in NG engine plugs.
The "modern" Champ W95D or the old AC 17 are supposed to cross with the Champ 45 for Allis, but no replies came in from Allis-H owners so don't know how well they work.
An interesting point: An export Case-H Owners Manual says plugs were Bosch DM-20-5-149, which wouldn't be unusual for an export, while a GEM query re' a Wauk-H XAKH power unit, apparently a US unit, had Bosch DM-20-5-148's.
Again, many thxx for the help/comments!!

Bud, The Champion wall chart I have is from 1957. Chart is kind of large at 11 1/2 x 14 1/2 not lending itself easy to scan but maybe I'll get time to scan some later in two 8 1/2 x 11 per page. Under Waukesha it lists6WAKH, 6WALH & 6WAKHM Hesselman (Gap .020") used Champion DL-8C plug. Nothing listed then under Allis Chalmers. Also shows a Waukesha 6BKH Hesselman used DL-8C. Waukesha 6EKH & 6ELH Hesselman used D-8. HBKH & HBSH Hesselman used D-8. 66MKHM Hesselman used DL-8C. Several other Waukeshas also listed using DL-8C plug.

Yes Stitt is still around and I use to have a few customers only wanted Stitt plugs for their Waukesha and MM irrigation engines but haven't kept or sold any for long time those engines have gone extinct almost here now. They are not cheap plugs to buy either. They have a cross chart but I see nothing for DL-8C. The Champion D-9 to a Stitt 82 is what we ran in the MM engines on natural gas or propane it's just a colder plug but same size and style as a 18mm D-16 so not long enough for what you want. They list some to replace W89 and W95 and can tell you what will work.

Hi Dempster,
Another option for getting the information from your large chart is to take a digital photo of it using as many megapixels as possible then loading that onto your computer. I do this with some things. It then allows you to have all the info in front of you as a single page but if you can't read it just zoom in on the photo, it's brilliant and a good way to store documents.
