Gib Key slide hammer


Heres some pictures of a slide hammer converted to gib-key puller, not pretty but works.

Default Gib Key slide hammer

Heres some pictures of a slide hammer converted to gib-key puller, not pretty but works.

Looks like it worked.

I often drill and tap the key and screw a stud in, then use the puller.

I'm lost. How does it work? Does the tail of the gib key stick out one of the holes and then the screw is tightened to extract it? Is that it?

I have a nice one too. That was a much needed item when i was a Millwright trying to get a 1" sq key 7" long from a 900 ton punch press...Bob

Here is one I made to pull the keys on my Listers. I have used it many times and it works great.
