Mike,
Great photo. Can you provide any other details like the bore size, manufacturer, or a reading of the text that's cast into the engine? I can't make it out from the photo. I'm sure the Rider engine was patented in Germany so it must have been made under liscense there.

The engine was made bt Bottger & Co, Dresden (the o has two dots above) it's a 6".
