I've actually be reading through the forums for a few years and finally made the plunge. I've learn a tremendous amount of information from the SMOKSTAK. Great thanks to all. I happen to be a plant "Operator" that had the the priviledge to grow up under a father whos father was was a mechant marine diesel engineer. Whew! In other words I grew up working on everything! Little did I know that it would bring so much joy and gratification. So here I am.

It's me again. I thought I should let you know why this great site has been of such a great help. In order of most recently aquired to the first in short order. An Onan 4.0CCK RV Genset, Onan 7.5 JB home standby Genset, Kohler K161 7hp 61' Cub Cadet, Wisconsin AENLD,Wisconsin THD and a Lincwelder225 w/Onan CCK. All are current projects that range in birthdays from the 1950's to 1970's. The Lincwelder is the only one close to being done and runs. It's soon to be converted to electronic ignition for reliability. The 2 Wisconsins will remain magneto units. All of the rest will get the standard reliability upgrades as they will all be put to work. If you add to that the cub tractor then you will see why I love this place, It's a vast repository of knowledge and technology that has been left behind for the "disposable lifestyle". This equipment will last well into the next "lifestyle" whatever it might be. By the way, print what you can, the knowledge is only good if you can use it!
