Default Onan 2LK propane ?'s

Howdy,
Got a genset for free the other day and pretty much just replaced the original sparkplug (it still had the original green paint on it) to get it going. I now have some ?'s. It's a 2LK-1RV 1330/1A, #89B615825.

1. Info on gen ie. year or anything else relevant?
2. HP? guessin' ~3, but not sure. how do i figure?
3. can i replace the existing battery cables/lugs with some jumper cables, since i keep the starting battery inside, and use is only for emerg.?
4. it currently only has a standard bbq regulator off the 5g tank. i "should" put a demand regulator in the line too, right, so gas won't just keep comin' out should the engine stop? a garretson?
5. it has an oem muffler - kinda silverish, kinda rounded off, with holes in the end... is there a quieter muffler? any homemade/inexpensive solutions?
6. i know nothing of points. the guy i got it from gave it up saying the points were acting up. they seem fine (i just replaced the plug!). about 1mm width each side. would new replacements offer any advantage/efficiency or should i just leave well enough alone?

Thank you very much ahead of time for any info & answers. This group has been so helpful already in gettin' manuals, etc.

I have the same generator. Mine is a 1968. It is 5hp, 1800rpms .[ which is great ] You need a STRONG battery & good cables, connections. Just hooking it up by long jumper cables may not work. I have an auto muffler that a car parts place found for the that is nearly a perfect fit. Good points, condensor, & plug , is a must. You can still buy manuals, online, thru Cummins/Onan, or sometimes see them on E Bay, where I got mine. I know nothing about conversion to natural or propane fuel.

discodog1,
Send me your email addresses via PM and I will send you the Onan T-015 gaseous fuel manual and a LK parts manual in a pdf files. It has some interesting reading and good info. The LK is a sweet running generator. It will run circles around any of the 3600 rpm screamers. I rigged up a Ford Focus muffler (from junk yard) on my LK with some flex pipe and it real knocks the noise down.
