Photo International Harvester TD-9 Dozer

Hi!--First post here! hope I do this right!

These pics. are of my IH TD-9 dozer and the Speedline Model 600 pan. I think the tractor is a 1948, and pan is probably close to that year too. If I dont post correctly or in the right place please tell me! thanks; sonny

Sonny, welcome to the Stak. My brother and I are fixing up a TD9 this winter to use, not a restoration.
I ran this one back in 1971 before it was left sitting too long and the steering clutches rusted up. The owner later passed it on to another freind of ours that never got around to fix the clutches and he was about to scrap it. Jack made a scrap price deal for it and now he is spending more on it.
It is a newer one with the 6cyl turbo motor and loader with 4 in 1 bucket (early 60's).
Have fun with your TD9.

Remember when looking for parts for these TD-9s that there still may b some millitary surplus parts available for them (they used alot of them). A few years ago my Dad got a great deal on clutches for his.

Takes a lot of time/money/work to revive these tractors!---I also have a TD-9 that would make an excellent re-store unit, right now its complete, ( the front main shell slipped a little and the timing gears grabbed and broke a couple of them.)---The tractor has a factory installed HOUGH loader with rear counterweights on it and smooth tracks for loader use. thanks; sonny

Our club has 2 TD9s. 1 has a loader on it and the other one has a blade. The one with the blade is about a 52 model and was sitting since the mid 60s, ( cracked Head). One piston was seized, so my brother donated a piston and liner we had the head fixed and now the fuel pump is not very good. I am not sure of the progress on the fuel pump since I left for work. I Know my brother has one completely rebuilt with injectors rebuilt.
