Default Need help with B & S CODE

Hello;

I can read only seven numbers off the Commercial 16 H.P. Briggs & Stratton, CODE ,# 8412121.
So , did they make them with only 7 numbers, and what can you tell from this number?
I am of the understanding that there are supposed to be 8.
MODEL 326437
TYPE 0720-01
thanx

Your engine was made in 1984. The first two numbers of the code is always the year. This apply's to briggs&stratton ONLY.
