Default Wisconsin TJD 18 HP values

I have a chance to bid on a lot of 35 of these engines. About a dozen are blown, about 10 more are average and the rest are very nice runners. Also included is a skid of misc parts, some used and some new old stock. What would you bid ? These engines were used in the ag industry and have had a hard life.
I know its a stupid question without more info but I would greatly appreciate any help.

I guess you have to decide how bad you want them and how much you can afford to pay. You also have to decide which ones you will keep. If you can sell the new and used parts you might get the ones you want very cheep so to say. You don't want to lose money on the deal. My 2 cents. Arlie

Personally i wouldnt pay to awfull much. Maybee just what the lot may be worth and thats it becouse you might get stuck with extra parts you dont want yet cant seem to sell. It may just be my imagination but for a good beast of an engine such as a wisconsin, expecially the double lungers, the market seems to be down on wisconsins. I tryed to sell our TJD a while back at the going price plus being freshly tuned. Not one bid, not one taker. Average price of a good TJD: $300. Price of a beat up well used but still runs TJD maybee $250 give or take. Price of a blown TJD: less then $100.

There are still a lot of them out there doing work. I was wondering if they have an output shaft for belt work or bell housing and clutch for direct transmission mounting. There are a lot of J20 Ditchwitch trenchers still using them. Me for one.
Steve.
